As you know I love my semi precious gemstones, and although if I want to bring some bling to my jewellery pieces, I will go for a facet cut, but once in a while I like to go back to the natural state of the gemstone.

So towards the end of last year a brought a few rough gemstone beads to create some new pieces.

One of the things I had not taken into consideration, in the slightly rash decision was that the nature of rough or raw gemstones is the lack of uniformity!

This in itself caused me a design dilemma, in a world where perfection is key is it acceptable to design jewellery pieces where the key components are not the same size and/or shape?

This issue stopped my jewellery designs plans in my tracks for a little while, while I pondered on what I was going to do, with these fabulous looking unique gemstones.

Then I remembered as a handmade gemstone jewellery designer, my designs do not have to be perfect and as the gemstones are in the purest state they will create their own interest and quirkiness, making the jewellery piece stunning in its own way, besides who really wants to wear boring jewellery anyway?

And as luck would have it, it appears rough gemstone jewellery is in vogue, who knew?

So I have created a new collection of  Raw Jewellery, which I hope you like, which includes earrings, bracelets and necklaces, let me know what you think.
