I cannot believe that 8 years ago, that it was at the very first Summer Arts Market, back then in the magnificient St Georges Hall, that I launched Joolzery onto the handmade arts & crafts scene in Liverpool, so it's always a great honour to be selected for this prestigious event.

8 years ago this was the handmade market event that launched Joolzery, after setting up the business 3 weeks prior to the evnt as an online business.

I applied for a stall really late, and was not expecting to get accepted, but in the back of my mind, I knew I would get in!

The only fly in the ointment was at that point Joolzery had no jewellery, no display or business cards, and the website was in the process of being created, but hey don't let that stop you.

My motto has always been when it comes to opportunities, say "Yes, and work out the details later."

After getting my acceptance email I spent the next 2 weeks I survived on 4 hours sleep, creating a collection of jewellery, getting businesses cards designed and printed, and working with my web designer to get the website ready.

This is why I always feel so honoured and grateful, when I am accepted to take part on Open Cultures Art Markets, as it is so important to Joolzery.

Due to the on going Coronavirus pandemic, this years Summer Arts Market it will be a smaller affair in the magnificient Liverpool Cathedral, but it will be held over 2 separate Saturdays.

Each market event will have 55 different stalls of handmade crafters, makers and artists from around the region.

 

This year I will be launching 3 new ranges of handmade wearable art as I have spent the last year during lockdown practicing and perfecting my metalsmithing skills, so will be showcasing, copper rings, hoops and recycled sterling silver studs.

This is a fabulous opportunity to support those small creative businesses and pick up truly unique items, not found on the high street, made with love and passion.

It is a ticket entry event on Saturday 5th & 19th June 2021 10am - 4pm I will taking part on the 5th
