More Gemstone Ring Deliciousness
More Gemstone Ring Deliciousness
With a 3 day face to face market on the horizon, thats the kick up the proverbial to add to my handmade healing crystal ring collection.
From my previous Handmade Gemstone Ring Gorgeousness blog post, you will recall that I made the following beauties:
- A large oval Turquoise,
- A smaller oval Rhodochrosite, and
- A rhombus Amethyst
Over the year I have been building a substantial collection of fabulous healing crystal cabochons to make rings and pendants with.
This collection of gemstone cabochons contains some unusual specimens or common healing crystals with interesting effects and/or shapes which I absolutely love!
With this in mind my first ring I created was this Velvet Obsidian ring:
Personally I could get lost for hours looking at the mesmerising effect the light plays on the obsidian.
I was torn whether to create a pendant or ring with this rectangular rhodochrosite cabochon, and with this in mind the design remained fluid until I was sure that a contemporary ring would show of this beauty to its fullest potential:
I have not come across the healing crystal Purpurite before, but I was really attracted to its dark purple almost black colour, which is revealed in the correct light, and seeing this triangular shape just screamed out to made into a ring, although I struggled to decide whether it would a little or ring finger ring!
I love how these gemstone rings came out, I think they are both classic and contemporary, sterling silver is such a gorgeous neutral metal that not only does not detract the natural beauty of the crystal cabochon, but actually amplifies the crystals energies and healing properties so what do you think?
I would really love to hear your thoughts, so post something in the comments below.
Until next time
