My healing crystal guilty pleasures this month

September was a month of buying some staple healing crystal cabochons.

Amber is one of those healing crystals that need no introduction, and although I have brought lucky dip mixed shape cabochon in the past, I was after some regular uniform shapes for some studs and rings.  These gorgeous round honey amber cabochons have fabulous inclusions, that sparkle when the light hits them.

Amber is a powerful healer and cleanser of the body, mind and spirit, as it removes disease from the body, increases tissues revitalisation, healing and renewing the nervous system and balancing the right and left parts of the brain, cleans the chakras and the environment.

I love the milky pale blue shade of these Aquamarine cabochons, as normally they come as a clear light to pale blue colour, the serene colour is said to cool the temper, allowing the wearer to remain calm and level headed.

Its' calming energies reduce stress and quiet the mind, and it is said that Aquamarine has an affinity with sensitive people.

Aquamarine is a stone of courage.

Purple is a favourite colour of a lot of my customers, so Amethyst is one of my best selling healing crystals jewellery designs, so when I came across Purpurite I thought it would be a good alternative addition to my jewellery collection.

I will be honest I have never come across this healing crystal before, but I was attracted to the dark purple, almost black, colour which changes when the light changes.

A little research later if found out that Purpurite activates the crown chakra and is a fabulous healing gemstone to use for grounding after meditating. It can aslo open the 8th chakra, and it has been said that those who have been working with this healing crystal have been able to access the soul star chakra, which has aided their enlightenment.

Purpurite can be used to break old patterns of behaviour, formed due to perceived ideas of security, by helping one to make choices, about when it is time to move or on to stay put, so quite a powerful crystal.

I was attracted to the orange highlights in these sodalite cabochons, as usually sodalite consists of a blue with white veining matrix it healing crystal.

Sodalite brings inner peace and harmony, it is said it can harmonize the inner being or the conscious and subconscious mind.

It is said that sodalite can unite logic with intuition, opening spiritual perception, transferring information from the higher to the physical level.
