My designs are always flexible, so it gives me the chance to have a play around....
While in my creative mojo, working with lighter stones aquamarine and rainbow moonstone, I wanted add something to the design to make the healing crystal pop, and decided to oxidise the sterling silver settings.
I may have got a little carried away, but I would put that down to the smell of rotten eggs of the sulphur used to create the oxidation of the sterling silver, which reminded me of my misspent youth days of Chemistry lesson experiments and labs at secondary school, college and university, when Health & Safety didn't exist and the only thing to protect you was safety googles, a lab coat and a fume cupboard, or an open window:
