Life is funny....

This is the follow up post to my orginal What a Pleasant Surprise blog post where 3 created these stunning handcrafted geometric amethyst pinky rings, as a commission, to give the customer a choice and he ended buying a ring for both him and his partner:
 

Now at this point, I was just relieved that the initial ring fitted and they loved them enough to buy both as a matching pinky ring set!!!

It had been a couple months betwen the commission, and them seeing the rings as they went away on holiday between the market dates, where on return I found that they had got engaged and set a wedding date for early September, which was fantastic news!!!

But the icing on the cake was that they loved my work so much that they wanted me to create their wedding rings.

Although really honoured, I had to pint out to the happy couple that I only work in sterling silver and not gold, which was ok with them, and we set up discussing the designs.

Both wanted wedding rings that complimented their contemporary amethyst pink rings.

They settled on a textured sterling silver octagonal ring, with a wider and thicker ring shank.

Fingers measured, and off I went to create these matching wedding rings:
   

With just over a week to go to the wedding, I presented the wedding rings to the happy couple, and the first ring was too small for one of their fingers and I realised I had given him the wrong ring!!!

But that said I did bring my mandrel and mallet just encase the rings were to small, which as it turned out I didn't need as they fitted like a glove.

The happy couple are not married and enjoying their honeymoon, and have messaged me thanking me for the beautiful rings and informed me about how much people addored my work:
