New Year New Rings
New Year New Rings
Always creating something different
2023 so far has been a year of procrastination w.r.t. to my jewellery designs.
I think its a combination of waiting for some new stamps to arrive, too many designs in my head and being distracted by my suppliers with their different gemstones, that creates morw design ideas to form in my head.
When I restocked my jewellery in the Palmhouse, Sefton Park, they took more pieces than I expected, as they wanted a good selection of jewellery for Valentines Day, especially the rings and studs, which meant that I had fewer rings for my stand.
I had also sold out of my amber, rose quartz and amethyst small cabochon rings, so needed to replace those especially with them being February birthstone rings and love healing crystals.
Amber is always a popular gemstone in stall, and my usual supplier seems to have a problem restocking them, but I found some smaller marquis shaped baltic cognac amber in my stash along with some different size and colour round ones which I decided to use to make a few rings with:
Handcrafted SS stamped Baltic Amber rings
Another popular healing stone ring is my facetted oval Super Seven one, in the metaphysical arena this is a highly prized stone, but for those who are just afffter pretty stones, it neutral colour is the perfect accessory for any outfit, and its size means it is a versattile for work, play or a night out.
The facet rose cut of the super seven stone means that when the light hits it, it sparkles, adding a bit of bling to the ring:

Everytime I make them and out them on my stall they sell out. The supplier of these super powerful stones is limited, so I am hoping my supplier cuts some more before I completely sell out!!!
Another popular ring is my hexagonal Moss Agate ring, and so I have decided to add another stone into the mix, Montana Agate. Like all agates this version has some very dramatically luscious caramel and chocolate inclusions within its matrix, I love the organic and contemporary feel of this ring:
You know I love my geometric shapes and love challenging my stone setting skills, as this is how I learn, so took the opportunity to create a new style of labradorite ring using a diamond cut stone and matching the ring shank with a stamp:
Handcrafted SS Diamond Labadorite stamped ring
As I was on a roll, I thought I wouuld create this contemporary stamped blue kyanite ring. This ring design occured organically but I knew I wanted the use the square stone, but it was only when I soldered the ring shank that I decided to make it a square, which lead to another quandery, should I set the blue kyanite stone as a square or a diamond?

What do you think?
These rings will be uploaded to the website before next weekend, but you can email me if you see something that you like.
