Hello Spring!!!!

The Spring Equinox marks the first day of Spring, in the Northern Hemisphere, and signifies when the sun crosses the celestial equator from south to north.  The Northern Hemisphere starts to tilt towards the sun, increasing the number of daylight hours, due to earlier dawns and later sunsets.

It's only during the Equinox that the Sun rises at due East and sets at due West for everyone on Earth!

The word Equinox is latin for aequus and nox (Equal night), i.e. the length of day and night is almost equal in all parts of the world.

I am not sure if I am the only one, but I am really finding it hard to get kick started this year, even though I am looking forward to the brighter warmer days, after my period of winter hibernation.
