The 1st of May is when we celebrate Beltane (Bright Fire), in the Northern Hemisphere, it is the traditonal midpoint between the spring equinox and summer solstice, signifying when all life bursts with potent fertility as light and warmth returns back to earth, with the days getting longer.

Beltane celebrations include honouring the earth as it awakes from winter, with the performing of fertility rituals, the may pole, hosting communal bonfires and jumping over a fire with your loved one to signify your commitment to one another for the season ahead.

Beltane is a call to awaken, renewing the fields, and nature lives in a time of abundance, where the Gods are celebrating a feast and we are invited to their party.
