Summer is my favourite season of the year, and unfortunately with all good things it must come to an end!!!

This equinox signifies the start of Autumn in the Northern hemisphere, Spring in the Southern hemisphere, and the Northern Lights.

On this day, in a moment in time, the earth is perfectly aligned sideways to the sun resulting in almost equal day and night lengths worldwide.

In a bygone era the autumn equinox marked the start of the new year.
