After bragging how much I've resisted in buying from my supplier during her latest crystal sourcing trip to Jaipur India, in last month, I think I jinxed myself, and the credit card got a bit of a bashing.

But at least I will have something to look forward to over the festive holiday, and be surprised by my purchases as by then I would have forgotten what I brought.

Absolutely loving these lilac pink Kunzite cabochons, which I have been itching to get my hands on for like ever.

A stone of emotion, it activates the heart chakra and connects it to the mind, stimulating a healing communication between the two.  Kunzite encourages one to release the protective walls built up around heart to enable it to be receptive to experience unconditional and abundant love.

A female stone, as it is supportive for young, first-time and/or single mothers especially those who may be having a hard time caring for their children.  For girls entering puberty this is the perfect stone to help them love their changing bodies.

When visiting locations where negative events has occurred, Kunzite is the perfect stone to carry as it increases intuition and is protective against harmful spirits

Star Garnets is a healing crystal that I have never come across, so it was hard for me to say no, when I saw them.  This is an unusal form of Garnet which exhibits an Asterism (the star effect) due to rutile needle inclusions which form in alignment to reflect light in a mutli-ray pattern, usually 4 rays, and on the rare occasion a 6 rayed star.

The star effect is very subtle and requires the correct lighting, direct sunlight is best, and orientation, standing directly above the stone, to be seen. It took me hours, and numerous lighting setups, to capture the asterism:

Chiastolite is very distinctive gemstone, which is a unique brown stone with a black cross, in ancient times, it was thought that it was a sign from God, and is one that I have been on the look out for in cabochon form for a few years.

A strong protective gemstone that can change negative, especially highly toxic working environment, or where you have to deal with challenging situations, into positive energy thus creating harmony and peace.

This stone assists you channel your abilities when communicating with the spirit world, during meditation its is an excellent crystal as it helps to focus on the surrounding energies, and it is said to enable you to see memories of past lives.

Chiastolite bestows strength, perseverance and power to whoever wears this stone, making the wearer feel calm and collect amidst  chaos.

The cross formation of graphite signifies its connectivity with God, and thus has a powerful connection to the natural of life and death, and the acceptance that there is life beyond this world.

I was so excited to come across a cabochon that I never heard before, that I wasn't paying that much attention, and got carried away by the name Solar Ice Quartz, which sounded truly out of this world, and its formation was intriguing.

A little research lead me to Ice Quartz, a fabulous crystal that harnesses magical powers that purges destructive energies, neutralises constructive ones and repairs everything in between.  It's positive vibrations attracts spiritual manifestations, allowing one to set intentions and organise ones life accordingly, by allowing one to play to ones strengths this can bring about new beginnings.

The crystal is great for increasing focus and determination, whilst maintaining balance, allowing one to take everything in moderation.  Ice Quartz generates clear connections between the self and spirit bringing access to profound knowledge and spiritual development.

Unfortunately I could not find anything about Solar Ice Quartz, so I went back to my supplier, who told me that it's a man made crysta potentially of Agate and Ice Quartz.

A bit disappointed to say the least, but it may posses the healing properties of both stones, but if not, at least it will make a striking pendant.
