Earrings, Earrings and more Earrings
October was mainly spent on the tedious job of bookkeeping before sending my books to my accountant, who will be spending the next few month shaking his head at the amount of money I have spent on healing crystal and gemstone stock, and scratching his head on what I am trying get past him in the name of expenses.
I have been procrastinating over this mundane business task for the last 8 weeks, but now its crunch time and I had to be disciplined enough to say no more making until this this task was complete.
However during those procrastination phases, I did manage to make a few pairs of earrings and rings, which were commission pieces, as the customer must always come first!!!
That said, you can't just make a pair of earrings and a couple of rings, so I got a little creative and made a few pendants and rings, and whole load of tiny studs too!!!

I do love this contemporary design of these earrings, and I think they are versatile for work or play, and for any occasion. So impressed with them and myself, I also created a pair of rainbow moonstone ones but with shorter ear wires.
Still distracting myself from the mundane task of bookkeeping for Joolzery, I was going to make a pair of cufflinks with these rounds, but somehow they became these gorgeous hexagonal backed earrings, which spent a whole 10 minutes on my stall before being snapped up:

Turquoise is always a big seller, especially this time of the year and I have been getting my gemstones in some kind of order, whilst doing a stock take, and came across a few oval turquoise cabochons in the back of the drawer, and so naturally I saw this as a sign to make something with them:

Listening to my customers, I have found that some of my studs are too big either because they are looking for something for their 2nd and/or 3rd piercing, or they are looking for their first pair of studs after getting their ears pierced.
With this in mind I have added to my small healing crystal collection, including pyrite and these adorable serrated smokey quartz studs and created a tiny range to, including 4mm rose quartz and lapis lazuli:

Always planning ahead, as I have a super busy November on the cards, and I have a whole load of new earring design ideas running around my head along with a new collection of Fordite jewellery to make.
What do you think?
