Pantone Colour of 2024
Pantone Colour of 2024
Not one to follow trends, as normally I am not aware of them, but somehow I seem to be a bit ahead of them, not sure whether it's my ancestors and/or universe working through my gut instincts and intuition, but I was surprised when I found out that the Pantone colour of 2024 is Peach Fuzz - Embrace the Warmth.
A hue between pink and orange, Colour Harmony for Mind, Body, and Soul, conveying a gentle velverty feeling with warmth and tenderness:
PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz captures our desire to nurture ourselves and others. It's a velvety gentle peach tone whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body, and soul.
Peach Fuzz is a fresh approach to softness, giving comfort within. The colour inspires belonging and nurturing, modest sophistication. Poetic and romantic with a vintage vibe. Representing evolution, rather than revolution.
"In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless."
Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute™
This is not my usual colour to work with but for some unknown reason towards the end of last year I was drawn to more orangey peach stones, mainly Sunstone, a healing stone linked to luck and good fortune, as well as a protection:
Handcrafted recycled teardrop Sunstone textured ring
I have a fabulous collection of Sunstone cabochons with gorgeous glitter shimmers in a myriad of shapes, so these will be on my to do list to add to the range of rings and pendants this year, and the beads will be used to make some fabulous bohochic earrings.
Luckily for me Pantone created 5 colour harmonies of which the one I'm most drawn to is the Pairings, with these fun vibrant colours:
These Pantone pairings corresponds to Pink Sapphire, Rhodonite, Amber, Aventutine, Amazonite and Lapis Lazuli, so these will also form the basis of my 2024 jewellery, mainly earrings, collections.
