The ubiquitous stacker ring is a stable piece for most jewellers that I come across, and this has been the main reason why I have never made one until now.

When I look at the stacker rings there is not much design manoeuvrability to it, and for a designer who wishes to offer her customers something different this was a real problem for me.

I have a few customer who prefer to have a narrower ring shank than my usual rings, and so still in the design process brought on by anger, I thought I would have another look at this.

Working with a 2.5mm wire and a druzy pair that I brought to make earrings and/or studs with I notice the outlines, and it is while I'm looking at this trying to work out the best way to set them, that I think of the ring design.

I wanted something sexy, curveous and tactile, and started playing around with the wire and changing its form, and finally came up with these:
 

Not really sure what to call them at the moment and I've not quite finished with the final form of these, as there are so many design possibilities, which I will be exploring more next month, once I get some feedback from customers from my upcoming markets.
