In 2024, the Autumn Equinox, the 1st day of Autumn, falls on Sunday the 22nd Spetember.  A time when not only does the temperature drop, which to be honest with you seems like most of Summer, but plant life and us slows down.

During the equinox, from the Latin aequus meaning equal and nox, night, the sun crosses the celestrial equator, an imaginary extension of the Earth's equator line into space, the equinox is the point in time when the Sun's centre passes rough this line.  On the equinox day and night are roughly equal in length.
