For those of you who love to be on trend, and for those of you who are not in the know, the Pantone colour of 2025 is Mocha Mousse 17-1230.

The Pantone paint and colour of the year program, engages the design community and colour enthusiasts in a conversation around colour, highlighting the relationship between colour and culture. Each year they select to colour that captures  the Gloabl Zeitgeist, which expresses a global mood and attitude, reflecting collective desire in the form of a single distinct hue. 
 

PANTONE Colour of the Year Mocha Mousse 17-1230

"A warm in brown hue imbued with richness, mocha mousse, nurtures us with it, suggesting of delectable qualities of chocolate and coffee, answering our desire for comfort."

Which is an interesting choice considering my favourite go to coffee is a Mocha, especially on market days, as it combines three of my food essential groups, coffee, chocolate and cream what's not to love?

Not that I pay that much attention to the Pantone Colour of the Year, but it seems I have been ahead of the curve as I spent the last part of 2024 being attracted to healing crystals with this colour spectrum, including Boulder Opal, Hypersthene, Smokey Quartz and Black Moonstone, for my jewellery designs.

I have a fabulous collection of Boulder Opal cabochons with gorgeous sparkles of a myriad of colours of opalessence,  in some interesting irregular of shapes, so these will be on my to do list to add to the range of rings and pendants this year.

I love moonstone, a healing stone for new beginnings, but I find the black version so enchanting and mesmerising, with the darker hue, it labradoressence is so captivating:

Luckily for me Pantone 2 colour palettes, which would make perfect pairings for the Mocha Mousse:
 

The London Pantone pallete corresponds to Angelite, Peridot, Citrine and Amethyst so these will also form the basis of my 2025 jewellery, mainly earrings, collections:
 

Whilst the Pantone 2025 palette for New York, appears more muted, these colours corresponds to healing crystals including Aquamarine, Jade, Blue Sapphire and Amber.
