As I'm an orphan, and I didn't have the best relationship with my mother, due to a number of reasons, including being put into care and spending the earlier part of my life with my foster parents and godparents, as such, the term Mother had a wider meaning to me.

I am truly thankful, grateful and appreciative, for all the sacrifices, love and life lessons, all these female role figures have contributed to my life, both good and bad, happy and painful, and I understand the hard and important role Mothers, in whatever guise they come in, play in society as they herald in the next generation, with no manual.
